What makes a good vlogger?

Apart from the obvious (being confident, being entertaining etc.), what makes someone a good vlogger on YouTube? When you subscribe to someone like Pointlessblog or Marcus Butler etc, what made you do it? What makes you interested in someones videos?

Personality. It is ALL personality. A good vlogger can talk about absolutely nothing and make it fun. A good vlogger can rant about substandard cheese in their Quiznos sub and it's awesome.

IMO vloggers are like comedians (even if the vlogger isn't trying to be funny). It's not WHAT they're talking about, it's HOW they talk about it. A vlogger might have a seriously good topic to talk about and the substance itself is interesting, but if the presentation is drab it's not gonna catch on.

All these people are so wrong! I'll tell ya what makes a good vlogger!

Swag, all of it. You need all the swag you can get, and don't forget to be shallow, and aloof in all your videos; even more so your livestreams. Go on YouNow a lot, and just let people watch you eat dinner, and be an ignorant 15 year old (this really happened once). Don't respond to comments, and if you do, make sure you only respond to one's that have an avatar of a rather busty female on them. Now, as for the videos themselves? Be sure to touch on hard-hitting topics, that are relevant, and trending; though lightly, do it lightly. Also, can't go wrong with jump cuts! Don't be shy with 'em, can't have too many sprinkles on that ice-cream, ama'right?

If all else fails, be sure to get in a lot of sex scandals, and you'll be golden. Having a British accent is great too, it'll make people forget how much they secretly hate you. :D

Hard to say, because not all vloggers are comedians
some are hilarious or crazy while others a serious or shy
Its usually if i like the persons personality and they be themselves i will subscribe, If they are going way out of their way to be unique and funny then ill leave right away! :)

It really depends on what kind of vlogs they do. I have different expectations from different types of vloggers. But one thing that's key is PERSONALITY. I'm not interested in a paint-by-numbers account of your day. Even if you are doing mundane, everything things(which I don't mind at all) make it entertaining for me to watch!

Good camera quality. Consistent videos.

Well depends on the type of vlog haha

If its a "sit-down and talk" vlog, then its most definitely in the personality and the way that they tackle the content. :)

As for a walk-around vlog, for me, I would love it if they were being funny or at least trying to be funny during it, and also not letting it stretch for too long and only leaving the best bits in XD for an example, just look at Mediocrefilms2 (Mediocrefilms' vlog channel) and look at the ones where he visits places or goes on vacation with his family to see what I mean haha.

Getting to the point. So many amateur vloggers would do a tag and spend like three minutes introducing the tag before they even answer 1 question. Most of the big YouTubers get straight to the point. Also, if you do this when you are small it is harder to gain an audience.
