What is more Important: Quality Vs Quantity

This is interesting now, I've started to realize that quantity of content is becoming more and more important quality of content.

The way YouTube is set up now they don't punish people for having 90% below average content and will still push the 10% good content they create.

I've noticed nearly every YouTuber who is becoming successful now uploads earlier daily or at the very least a couple times per week. Where as previously it was very common for a YouTuber to upload once a week max. I was thinking about writing an article for my site on the subject but wanted to get the opinion of what everyone else thinks?

So would you rather upload 7 times a week with okay content and a couple videos hit?
Or upload 1 video a week that you spend days on creating?

I would much rather upload one video per week that I genuinely think is good, than upload a whole bunch that make me say "Eh that'll do".

OK, you are missing the point with the whole popular thing. If you are just starting out and not popular at all you can definitely take that road of daily uploads. But you'll end up miserable because you are spending so much time on your videos, and go no where with them. The successful YouTubers upload daily because they have the fan-base to support that. A fan-base that can't get enough of their content. If you do it as a YouTuber with a small fan-base you will end up alienating those that watch you because your quality suffers, and to everyone else you are just the wannabe. I upload weekly. Sometimes I don't even make that. I am not a vlog channel so that might have something to do with it. But even when I did carvlogs I rarely did more than 3 a week. And I noticed that I started to grow FASTER with the once weekly setup than I ever did uploading 3 times a week.

Quality is always more important. Any video that someone comes across could be their first. And if it's general and uninspiring, well... You won't end up with that subscriber, and they will never watch your content again when it comes by in their suggestion box.

Do not ever go by the statement that quantity > quality. You will not get very far. Quality is always a must. These big youtubers can practically upload almost anything they want because they got enough fans to do it.

It depends what you want. Financially, more videos = more views = more revenue, but many channels aren't at the kind of size where they would be making any kind of significant return. Always quality I would say, especially for new or small channels.

Not sure why this is a question to be honest.......You want 10 videos that are crap or 1 this is pure gold? You want to eat 10 meals that a bird s**t on or 1 juicy burger? *slams head*

Having quantity will make it more likely to get exposure but if it's not good quality it won't make a difference. So first it's better to make them good quality.
