What is a good network rate?

What is the CPM you are getting with CN, Freedom, BBTV?

You shouldn't go anywhere for less than 80/20 (cough, Freedom, cough). 90/10 is preferable, which is offered by Creative Nation and Curse. 80/20 is respectable though, so if you feel good about signing with BBTV go for it.

As far as negotiating goes, unless you're a relatively big channel or bringing in a lot of views you won't have a ton of leverage when trying to negotiate with the bigger networks.

I haven't noticed a significant difference in the CPM between any network I've ever been a partner of. With that being said I have heard of people having drastically different CPM numbers from network to network. The list of networks I have been with includes Zoomin.TV, CN, Freedom, TGN, and Machinima. The biggest difference between them all has been the percentage split.

Unless you're a huge channel getting millions of views weekly, your CPM will be the same with every network.

It's simply not worth it for networks to dedicate their sales team to a channel that isn't going to earn them big money. Instead, they'll use the same Adsense ads as Google would without then.[DOUBLEPOST=1447749017,1447748790][/DOUBLEPOST]

I would be willing to bet any difference they saw was the standard CPM fluctuations that happen throughout the year (i.e. changing networks at the end of a year and comparing December in one network to January of another) or some other variable (views on videos increasing, retention changing, etc.).

A good rate is 100% (adsense)

I agree, but a lot of smaller YouTubers get turned off by that $100.00 thresh that is what keeps me away XD however, to answer your question OP I think if you are a smaller channel and can get 80/20 or 90/10 take it. 60/40 was good when YouTube first started, but if you are still giving them that I would recommend going elsewhere. I am now with curse and get 90/10 and I also have fan funding two main things I wanted moving forward with my channel :-) CN looks like it might be a good fit for you!
