The larger the channel the easier it is for viewers to subscribe to your channel and the easier it is for people to find your channel.
It is kindof a catch 22, however, if you have good material you will be discovered and you will grow at a fast rate.

There is no set number of subs that things come easier. You could have 250 inactive subscribers or 250 subscribers who all go and share your videos.
Just keep doing what your doing and don't ever give up!
 
if you want to grow fast.. at least for gaming channels... just do daily videos. it's been working for me. been growing a lot faster and having active subs by uploading so often.. and to answer your question, it did get a little easier for me. but nothing significant. its not like you just get a flow of subs after you hit 250.

haha I know, one day last month I gained 23subs!!! i was like "wt*?!" but then for instance 3 days ago i was minus 3 subs hahaha

haha like I said I only used 250 as it was what I'm coming up to. I wasn't under any grand illusion that at 251 I could quit my job lol

dude, there is somethings 1000 views can't show that 250 subs can...
