What equipment to buy and where

Hi,
My name is aaron I live in the uk I'm looking at starting making review,unboxing videos and gadgets vs each other my question is this being my first time as u can images I'm not looking to spend thousands in case it don't go to plan so what's the best things to buy for a first timer and from what Internet retailer in the uk

Bit of an oxymoron this. Gadgets that people care about are expensive. Gadgets that are cheap are usually easily replaceable so comparisons and reviews are much less relevant.

You also need criteria to wok with. For example, you can't just compare two graphics cards and go "this one looks cooler so it wins". You need to know what you're talking about and better still, you need to be able to benchmark them and provide results with graphs.
 
You need a canon t3i, or t5i as a camera. You need a white surface do show off your product. You need proper lighting and a microphone> i would recommend a blue or audio technica microphone. All of this can be found on amazon

I understand wat ur saying I should of explained nearly all my comparisons will be mobile phones as to witch I already unlock and repair but want to do more things as for bench marking not a problem[DOUBLEPOST=1377008250,1377008203][/DOUBLEPOST]

Ah ok, I didn't realise that you had a specific area in mind. In that case, there's not much for me to add, except good luck!

I disagree. He can get away with a T2i because it was the first of that series with an external mic port. And a used camera is just fine in this case, although an HD video camera would be better since the video on the T series Canon's is a secondary feature to the static pictures.

For mics, if he's going with a DSLR or HD Camera, then one of the Rode mics is likely best.

Personally, since you're just testing the waters (and don't sound like you have a great deal of passion for what you're looking at doing), I'd go cheap. Get the Logitech C920 webcam. It will get you good enough quality audio with the best video quality for the price. Then if it turns out you really enjoy what you're doing, you can start to look at different gear setups.
 
I agree with Tarmack. It's not just about a camera. You have to put your DSLR on something, so you'll have to buy a tripod. You also need microphone, some good SD cards, probably a bag if you don't want all of your stuff to lay around your house. So you're gonna spend at least 600+ $ if you're gonna buy new.

So buy a webcam or borrow a camcorder, give it a try and you'll see if you're into videomaking or not. You can always sell a webcamera and buy a decent DSLR.
