What does botting mean on youtube videos? I read this comment asking if the person who uploaded the video is "botting" what does that mean?

Its when someone uses a conputer program to boost views by a large number.

Generally speaking, an internet bot is a program / software that allows this bot / robot to undergo an automated task without being guided by a human worker (beyond the basic code). A bot could be seen in the form of an auto-clicker (used and banned in many online computer RPG's.) Auto-typers etc.

In YouTube, views would be the botted part, in which views are unfairly raised because it is a computer program "Watching" your video, and not an actual person.

This is why YouTube says, "No" to botting

Botting taken from 'Robot' a computer generated system (not a specific one) will boost views subs and comments/likes on a channel using fake views etc
