Websites where you acquire traffic?

No, it's not a botting sight, because if it was they themselves wouldn't be advertising on Adsense that is owned by google, which owns YouTube. Now, I think it's a waste of money and I don't think it's truly useful for growing traffic for me, but if people want to use it it's fine to use.

In a way though, I think websites like funny junk and reddit give the most honest and raw feedback. Its very useful if you're thick skinned as everyone's just being the brutal trolls that represent a large proportion of the internet population.

Yttalk is great and people for the most part are supportive and helpful. But the majority of members are themselves aspiring video creators and will not be too harsh or rude in their responses. This is of course generally a good thing but bare in mind that this is a fairly close knit community and you're not going to get brutally harsh criticism unlike the real world.

I don't know much about Virool, from what I gather it's probably more useful if you're videos themselves are promoting something. It may not be too economical to use it just to get your channel name out there. This is purely speculation though.
 
Reddit can be very powerful, but as on every site, you have to have the right content. And find the right subreddit. And preferably not be yourself cause they hate linking oneself and you'll get shadowbanned in an instant...

You really need to become a regular and submit other content than your own to earn some rep before messing with the Reddit. You can put that time to good use though, cause while posting other stuff you can experiment what works where. And at which time of the day. And how to phrase links to get them clicked. There's a lot to learn before you can effectively use Reddit. I got a video to the front page of Reddit after a couple of tries and that got hundreds of thousands of views. Wasn't mine though. XD
 
I think if your videos are generally appealing enough, they will be well received regardless.

Keep in mind that the demographic of reddit users are mainly 25-35 yr old males while youtube has a more diverse demographic which normalizes in the low 20s and is slightly female favored.
