We got ourselves a microphone! Let's see your audio hardware!

Not sure where to put this thread so I'll put it here

We were pretty fed up with the audio from our little camcorder so we decided to get a (relatively inexpensive) shotgun mic!

We also built ourselves a suuuuper cheap boompole and shockmount, and it works really well!

The next step would be an audio recorder but for now we plug the mic into my iphone and it gets the job done (surpisingly).

So what about you guys? What microphone and other hardware do you guys have and currently use?

I'm hoping to pick up a Rode nt-usb mic soon to replace my headset mic. Hopefully it will give me a much better sound

lol. Glad to see another Touhou fan here .

I use a real pop filter and then use 2 panties wrapped around my snowball to mitigate some of the plosions/ssss/pppp.

We use a windsock that was already included in the microphone bundle. The 'shockmount' they gave us in the bundle wasn't really a shock mount and when we found out how expensive the gear was we just said "screw it" and built our own

I'm not going to ask about the panties part.
