Watermark?

What do you guys think about adding a watermark (semi transparent little icon in the corner) of your videos?

I used to do it a while ago, and I'm thinking about using watermarks again.

You don't need to. Use inVideo programming and then at least folks can switch it off if it annoys them.

Still can be downloaded and reuploaded. Gives you no protection. Personally, I use this on my vids, at the very bottom.
Tells the project and song, plus it's 100% unique to my vids.

Placing a watermark won't stop people stealing your video and claiming it as their own, unfortunately.

But the watermark will stick out like a sore thumb, especially if you have any sort of following.

I fade my watermark logo in and out of the video at certain points where its not distracting as the video goes on.

Well, I really don't mind when people use my content as it will have my face in it anyway. I just want it to identify is my video, so I guess I'll go with In-video programming. Thanks guys!

I use the watermark in my videos, is very useful, just another way to protect your videos

I dislike watermarks or images that are in the video throughout the entire video... It looks tacky and too promotional for my taste.

Like you said, your face will be in your videos so would that not be good enough to be able to identify your videos?

But the watermark will stick out like a sore thumb, especially if you have any sort of following.

It will discourage the act, but it doesn't stop it all together. They could always steal it and place another image over the watermark with an editing program.
