Wanting to do a movie review

I know I'll get counter striked on this, but I know that Jontron and The Nostalgia Critic always review movies. Anyways to get around copyright and I can get mine monetized and get around the copyright thing? Since it'll be a review similar to the guys mentioned above.

The most practical advice is to not show movie footage. Do the review in a vlog style.

If you must show movie footage, don't make that the whole video, and don't use the movie audio at all. If you're doing a proper review, then you have the tenets of fair use behind you, but that's only in the theoretical sense. ContentID doesn't care about fair use and you'll have to fight any matches you get.

I know I shouldn't, but I know that the bigger guys do it all the time though

But you don't know if they have a licensing deal in place that grants them permission or if they readily accept the 3rd party claims after ContentID spots them.

If you want to use video footage, we obviously couldn't stop you- just don't be upset if your videos land you a copyright strike or if ContentID flags them for a 3rd party claim and the studios, not you, take any earnings from monetization.

Or- you could simply play it safe and use movie stills instead of audio/ video from the films you're reviewing.
