Vlogging in public..

I have filmed in public a few times and yes it is very awkward most of the time I will find somewhere quiet and record there because I can't muster the confidence to walk down a busy street with my arm out, holding a camera and talking. I guess the best way to get over it is to keep putting yourself in situations where you vlog in public and eventually you will get past the awkward moments.

It gets easier the more you do it. I don't vlog, but I film in public often. You just have to focus on what you're doing and not what other people are doing. Naturally, people are gonna stare.
Think of it like this, even if they think you're weird or something...you'll probably never see them again. lol

I still feel quite self conscious about vlogging in public but I always think if I want the vlog to flow it needs to be done. AND try to remind myself if someone does look, chances are they're walking by and in a few seconds they're gone.

If you wanna be a vlogger just mentally learn to ignore those around you. If you're not hurting them, don't let them bother you. Create good content and move on.

It is really awkward to be vlogging in public, but then again most people wont notice you and those that do will catch on quickly that you are filming for a vlog or something.
there are ways to make it less awkward.
Bring someone with you to do the filming, so it looks like a semi-pro production. Buy one of those clip on microphones and dress well. People might even be interested and ask what you are doing, then you can chat with them about your channel.
I've had several people approach me and was genuinely curious as to what I was filming and talking about but having a "camera person" there (sometimes my friend or my sister), made it look like a proper production

When I started, I'm getting weird stares and they also laughing. But hey, I don't care because I enjoy what I'm doing. I won't be discouraged by the judgemental people. :)

This, exactly. I sometimes do what my friends would consider to be "embarassing" things in public, but I genuinely don't care what other people think, and like Mielz said here "You'll probably never see them again" so I wouldn't worry about them too much. Just do what you want, man XD It's better than letting peoples' judgement deter you from being happy.
