Hi Guys!

So i've noticed that a lot of people who vlog have put colour correction filters on their videos. I must admit, this makes them lok very cool; I wanted to impliment this idea into my videos but I don't know what software to use (I do have adobe speedgrade CC) or what filters to apply.

Much love,

Normally people who colour correct their videos film with a flat profile which allows better correction, but it shouldn't be a big deal if you don't. You just need to play about with the rgb curves and the saturation, contrast and all that until you get the look you're looking for :)

Moved this to the video editing section :)

eh, its not really advised but the easiest is -87 saturation, gives for a almost black and white but TV look.

I do a little bit myself, mainly just adjusting the while balance a little and making it look a tad better..
I don't know much about SpeedGrade (I use Magic Bullet in Premiere, fairly straight forwards)
Just try messing around a little bit with the highlights etc to see how it goes, I advise against massive changes as it can make the image look terrible..

i always reccomend filming with a flat profile if you plan on doing any sort of color work. color correcting and grading are my specialties. the reason why you want to use a flat profile is so you can get the widest dynamic range possible. you want this so you can add detail to the shadows and the highlights with out destroying the image. some programs i reccomend are magic bullet looks for quick grades that would be the best for beginners and vloggers because it is quick and easy to use. but if you really want to get into color the best program hands down is divinci resolve. there is a serious learning curve but well worth it.
