Virool net result

Ok so I posted awhile back that I did a few Virool campaigns to test out their service. All of the views I got from them are now out of my "past 30 days" stats and I noticed something ... while my average per day views are down from what they were with Virool in my stats ... they didn't go all the way back down. I was averaging 20 views/day and now I'm averaging 40 views/day. That means I got a 100% improvement in views. I think some of the folks who watched and subbed to me from the Virool campaign are coming back to watch more.

I plan to re-create this experiment again, perhaps next month, and see if I see a similar effect, or if this was just a fluke.
Did you use the free 20$ campaign or you paid real money ?
I'm not even sure if that exists someone said that one time.

Hmmm..I am not sure what to think about Virool..on one hand it is a way to get more promtion out there, but is it honest promotion? I somehow feel like buying views is just not the same as "earning" the views. I would certainly LOVE more views/subscribers, but how I get them..is that important? I think it is. So I am on the fence about this one.:unsure2:

So me buying a Coke isn't "honest" cause they make commercials? And what is "honest promotion" anyway?

Not sure how the Coke correlation comes into play here? I mean, is that what I would be doing with Virool? Making a commercial? Great question on the second part of your response! What is honest promotion? I suppose for me, it is putting the work in by advertising on social networks, forums, getting involved with the community and fans. I can only offer my definition. I am quite certain it may mean something different to the next person.:smug:

Yes. All you do with Virool is buying ad space somewhere on the web. It's the same as if you were buying pre-rolls on YouTube through AdWords/AdSense. Or a banner on this site, or social blade, or one of those thumbnail spaces on VTX.

You are still putting in just as much work into your promotion, one could argue even more, cause if you want to make use of the full potential of Virool or AdWords you'll have to make a video especially for it and should also adjust your channel in certain ways. At the end of the day you are doing pretty much the same thing, your standing at a street corner and herald your message of checking out your channel, the only difference is that you are paying for the privilege to stand at a much higher trafficked street corner.

And yes, the answer to that second question is highly subjective.
