Views/Uploads?

Alright so here's the thing, I have only a few videos on my channel (I used to have more but decided to remove them). I recently got a new camera and want to post more videos. What I'm worried about is that I don't know how often I should upload to gain my maximum views. If I upload too many videos in a period of time, wouldn't they get lost in the mix of my uploads and people wouldn't watch all of them? If I take too long to upload, I might loose people's attention and end up losing viewers. Also, I need to get more videos out there to improve my channel.

I would appreciate any advice! Thanks!

ask your subscribers if they want to see more of your stuff like 2 times a day instead of say like 1 only real way you would know

Sadly there is no rule. You could upload every day and get 20 views a day, but upload once a fortnight and get 10,000 views a fortnight.

What matters is a set schedule (however often/rare that might be) and good content :)

Personally, I would say a weekly schedule is a good pace for you to give the audience enough time to digest your new content and also not overwhelm them. If you do find yourself not being able to upload as often, then communicating with your audience is a good idea :)

Also, remember that good content is important in order to keep the viewers coming back for more :) Quality > quantity.

That's a good idea, I just don't know if my subscriber base is large enough for people to actually answer that though.

Thank you! You're right no matter what it is, I need to upload regularly on a schedule, and make sure my videos are as good as I can make them! Thanks :)

Yeah, I think right now that is probably the best schedule to go by. And yes, I ALWAYS communicate with my audience. (I Don't know if you could even call it an audience, I don't think I'm big enough to have that. :giggle:) I try to network my videos and channel as much as I can so I can not only gain new viewers but to also engage with current viewers. Also, you're right, I need to make sure the quality is the best I can make it to be.

Set a schedule like the others have said, communicate with your viewers and make good content that will leave the people wanting for more :)

When we are doing well, we plan on doing probably 2-3 videos per week. At first, probably about 1 per week. I think that is fair (especially because we're doing animation O.o )

I totally agree. 2 great videos/week is better than 5 decent videos per week.

I wish I had gone with the "quality over quantity" set up before I even restarted my YouTube. I have almost 40 videos, in less than a 2 months time span. That's way too much. I think I might go with uploading 2-3 a week from now on, unless there's a big event I really want to cover, that'll be an exception. So around 2-3 a week I think would be best.
