Video title vs video tags

Hey guys, as I was researching key words for my videos I encounter a dilemma. Lets say I want to make a video on how to get a DEEPER voice and this key word(sentence) has 25k searches in a month. How to get a DEEP voice has only 1,5k but DEEP VOICE has 250k. So my question is do I go with the title that has 25k searches in a month - how to get a deeper voice or do I put a key word-deep voice in the title and gamble on the fact that there is a high search key word there(deep voice). that would mean that title is more important then tags(is it?) if you want to optimaze your title to the highest search possible. Or do you think that optimazing your video with good tags is enough even if the title isnt hight search. Hope you get what I mean. Cheers.

Go with "how to get a deep voice" in the the title to capture that search traffic. In the description be sure to include "how to get a deeper voice". In your tags make sure to include both.

Titles are highest-level for search results. Tags can be helpful, but I've done a lot of experimenting and researching, and titles are the most important aspect, followed by descriptions. YouTube may say they place equal weight on all of it, but try putting a term into tags that isn't in the title, and you'll see how well it works in search (hint: it doesn't).

So the title doesnt have to be a strict high search key word as long as theres a high search key word in the title?

Can you rephrase? Not sure I understand your question

Sure. A keyword "deep voice" has 250k searches a monnth. As long as I focus on that keyword I'm good right? Lets say theres 2 titles I consider going "how to get a deep voice" or "how I got my deep voice"; as long as I focus on a keword "deep voice" both of those titles should be sreachable right?

If "a deep voice" is what you are keying in on, then yes. What I've heard from experts over and over again is to put the most searchable and important stuff to the farthest left part of the title as you can manage. So I might re-title it even further: "A Deep Voice: How I got it," for instance. It sounds a little bit strange, but people skim so quickly through lists of search results, you want to make sure they see what they're looking for right away.

Yea definitely, as long as YouTube has some information to work with. And then as xingcat said, always think about those first 6-8 words as they will be most visible.

you definitely want to have a focus keyword but youtube is getting smarter at figuring out what your video is about e.g. if you put "how to get a deep voice" or "make voice deeper" they both have voice deep in them, if you want the most searches its the amount of keywords you have in the description and title, tags aren't as important as the title or description.

Thanks that helps a lot. Finally got some clarification on that, theres a lot of information out there easy to get confused, thank God for this forum.
