Well there are big YouTubers who don't make conversational content and just open up video responses for anyone (to generate backlinks, I guess) no matter what their videos are about. Using this can get you some traffic, as well as subscribers, as well as dislikes....


BTW:
Did you make your University video a response to one of the Talk videos? There were so many good responses on the first few topics they discussed but not a single one on the last 2 topics, so I was wondering if people don't respond anymore, or if they, for whatever reason, just haven't approved any lately?

I did make it a response, and Mickeleh and Bing both saw it, but it hasn't been approved. Possibly they just started getting flooded. *shrugs*

Possible. Would be a bummer though. The main appeal of that channel for me was, or is, that it's more of a round table conversation instead of being one way. Them watching video responses but not approving them for the viewers to watch would be more of a "one and a half way" discussion.

Well, I should take that back. Bing retweeted Mickeleh sharing out my vid. I don't know that he got back to watching it. They did say in the descriptions that they'll be adding responses they like to the playlist, so who knows.

And it does look like they're reaching out and trying to include a nice varied group of people on the channel itself, which is cause for optimism :-)

Yes, and I was pretty much sure from the beginning that they will do so, and am still optimistic, just a little confused by this one thing. So far they've only added two responses to the Offensive Jokes playlist (one of them being Mikelahs) and non to any of the other ones, which does feel a bit like we're missing out on quite a few opinions. Besides that I'm all up in arms for Talk.

I think "all up in arms" is an expression again something. Like, raising ones torches and pitchforks. :P
 
I made a video response to indymogul (.5 mil subs) to get on their live show and I was chosen. My video also got a couple hundred views in a day so that was all pretty awesome.
