Hi,
I wanted to know how to get the best video quality. I film my videos and they look nice but once they are up on youtube they look a lot worse. How do I make them stay as they were?
Thank you

Not a big video knowledge guy, but make sure you export in the settings you used to film as? They will always look worse because of Youtubes compression system though. Think they might be changing that.

I have no idea at what resolution I'm recording, how can I know at what resolution it is at?[DOUBLEPOST=1404776804,1404776728][/DOUBLEPOST]Ok thanks, I'll check that I'm exporting them with the same settings :D

Both your camera and editor should have the resolution, You want to have the resolution at least at 1280 x 720 or higher and have it the same on both the editor and camera. Remember when you're watching it back in the editor or camera it's on a smaller screen so it looks better than it does when it's uploaded on youtube.

Yeah, your camera will tell you the resolution. If you don't know where to look on your camera, record a test, upload it to your computer, then look at the properties of the clip, the resolution will be displayed there.

Hey there! I know the quality from native to youtube always does a lil damage to your footage. Alot of it has to do with compression. BrandonJLA did a great video on it if you youtube search brandonjla compression it will be the first one up. If you don't use premiere, just check to see if the buttons are in different places or not. Let me know if this helps!

Would be good to know what your recording your video on and make sure that your recording that on the highest possible. Also are you editing your video before uploading
