Video Playback Choppy

Hey Everyone,

Brand new, looking forward to talking on a number of issues, and will do an intro on the other thread, but could someone help me with an issue?

I just have six video uploads and five are playing fine, but one, the long one..a half-hour, simply won't consistently start at the beginning and play all the way through, and allow me to click forward or back during play. I've adjusted every setting I can find but it's like the video has a mind of it's own :). I just shared it too, don't know now if other people will not be able to view properly.

Just did some computer maintenance but nothing else seems affected.

Wow, that was fast..you watched the long one EZ?.....that's good to know, but then why am I having issues viewing my own upload and you're not?...any suggestions?...I guess I could delete it and upload it again but don't really want to do that because of length and some other issues I had getting it up in the first place.

I should say, that box that shows up about the video start time?....I can't get 0:00 to lock in and as I said above it's ending on its own and not allowing ff and rewind. I've refreshed the page, idk?....just frustrated

yeah, I know sometimes you just have to wait, though I've had issues with this one before...just seems weird it's fine to everyone but me....must be something on my end, and I'm sure something simple this fledgling techie is doing :)

Hey there, I just clicked on the video. It loaded fine...then I tried to skip through it...and it took me straight to the end of the video and said the video was 4 minutes long instead of 26 minutes long. Now I have seen this issue before, and I believe it's a Youtube glitch that will probably straighten out soon. It probably has nothing to do with the video, since I have seen this problem on other videos I watched a few weeks ago. Not only that..it's Wednesday....Youtube is extra glitchy on Wednesday apparently lol.

Thank you Katherine,

I really appreciate that, so it's not just me... and I didn't know that about wednesday. I see my google chrome got an update today, adding the apps icon on my bookmarks bar, so I didn't know if that had something to do with it as well.

Probably should let that person I shared the video with know.

No problem! Hope it works out for you!!

It's youtube, I've had situations where I could view my own videos in HD and Full HD but when I give the link for a friend it would max show 480P as an option. As Katherine said it's a common problem. If there's ever a problem always blame YouTube first lol
