Video Creators Chat

It's a lonely world out there. I slave hours on end with the vids but no such thing as scrubscribers pop up on my channel. I deleted my old account and started new. I think the part of color corrections and cinematic shots are quite entertaining. :>

I like having a way to harness all that creative energy. It comes in many forms (songs, art, etc.) and I just find making videos to be so fun. I'm glad that it takes up most of my time.

What do you like and enjoy the most about being a video creator? I will start off with myself which is that I make the type of videos that I want to make and being my own boss. What about you guys? :)

Well, for me it's largely the same reasons. I started the channel because i love commentating, even off camera, and a certain Bat got me motivated to make my own videos. But i love also love the community, and i regret not being able to provide them with the content they deserve, but i have had no way to upload lately. I feel like i have failed my fans in this way, and i have to give them credit for staying subbed through it all, and for the 1,719 people that have watched my videos, and my 23 loyal subs, i have to say they are truly the reason i do this.

Rather than solely making a video, it's getting to see something that I can envision come to life! It's kind of like i'm creating something and I see how well my hard work editing and filming payed off.

Well, what what about me? I think it's good to have an actual job instead of basing your income from a website that easily unstable for you to lose your ratings as fast as a the drop of a hat.

Well, I highly doubt they based their entire income on YouTube, that's nearly impossible. We, as YouTubers, typically don't get paid well enough for that. The only ones that could truly turn a livable profit are massive-scale YouTubers like Tobuscus, OfficialNerdCubed, and PewDiePie, and to a lesser extent, people like Mike 7493. where their subs/views levels are so high, they actually get decent pay. I get roughly $25-$50 bucks a year, if that.
