Came from Reddit and I use it frequently. It's just getting used to the vibe of the place, knowing where to post and what to post. No one there really likes to post their own content, but if you read the submission rules in the relevant subreddit and comply, then it can't be all bad. But any views/dislikes to your videos are still traffic.
An example for reddit would be.. /r/overwatch. A person sent in a giphy of parks and overwatch, then sent in the youtube link as a comment. Got about 2,000 upvotes. Really hit and miss though :u, kind of like how ltcorbis became popular.
