Hello,

The problem is explained in the title. I do this a lot and I'm trying so hard not to in my videos but it always sneaks in there, even when I have what I'm going to say written down. Help! Any tips to help me get over my 'um'ing and 'err'ing?

Thanks

Just take 10-15 seconds more to string your sentences. Anyway, all I can say is to just keep practicing! :D

Say something as an alternative and consciously think of some other word to use.
I have the same issue and this helps me out.
OK, Alright, Moving on etc.
Ah, that sounds like a great idea, thanks! :D

I do tend to stop to think of alternatives but end up leaving an awkward silence in the video when I can't think of any, which I don't want to do, lol

even the big guys do it or they do multiple cuts so they can focus only on one part of the video at a time... practice practice practice..... why do you think women get hotter as they grow up! they get better at makup XD

Our Spanish teacher reconditioned us to stop saying umm and errr... What I do is keep my mouth all clammed up if I'm not saying something. Eventually you lose the need to have to "fill" in the silence :D

I usually do my videos about 5 times so it goes fluently and all in one go, so I don't have to edit :p
Haha, exactly. The tricky part is getting past that first sentence. My Fraps record button is already barely visible because of all the takes!

BlacklightDemon I checked out your commentaries and found them relaxing. You seem to go with the flow.
The 'Umm Erring' didn't seem very noticeable...

Oh thanks :D Maybe they just stick out to me because I know I do it a lot? Probably, lol.
