There is still a huge difference between a headset and a studio mic. But yes there are god headset mics out there but it's like entering the lottery. You can buy a certain headset and the mic is fine, and you recommend it to your friend and it's awful.

Oh no argument there a proper radio/podcasting/etc mic is so much better (I really want a yeti pro!), but if you are on a budget, there's no reason it has to sound like a fluffy, static-y mess. Usually people just don't know how to control their mic so they're breathing down it and all sorts :giggle:

All about that control

No I want it to be shown, cause it represents the gamer geek in me. So I have gamer on my neck, and superhero on my wrist[DOUBLEPOST=1374528182,1374528121][/DOUBLEPOST]
No I WANT a headseat, I'm asking if it's a good idea and how it can be done. I want it to be bluetooth, so there isn't a wire dragging behind me :p
And does it have to record audio on the computer, or can it connect to a camera?
Unless your camera has bluetooth built in then you'd have to have some thing that plugs into the 3.5mm jack and converts it to some bluetooth signal receiver for audio input. If it's even possible it'd be expensive

So my audio isn't ideal. It could be better. A LOT better :p
Since my channel is geek themed, I was thinking of getting a bluetooth headset and wearing around my neck. The mic would be inclined to my mouth but not so much that it obstructed my face (cause come on, who doesn't wanna see that ;)) but so that it picked up my words. My question is what do you think of that idea, and more importantly can it be done?

It can be done with any wireless headset. You have to sync up the audio though, which is harder than it looks.
