I've Got It
I am really hoping somebody can help me. I use wondershare video editor (paid subscription) I have spent several hours editing footage. Wondershare crashed I hadn't saved any of my work and when I opened the software back up there is nothing there.

Having a 8 month old son I really don't get that sort of time back. I am praying somebody can help me.

Thank you in advance.

Man, I really can't think of anything. Look through some of your Temp folders (Easiest to go to Computer, then type "Temp" in the search tool) and maybe your current file might be there. But that's all I can think of.

Unless there was an auto save function then the work is gone, pretty much all software now days has an auto save function though so you might need to look into how you can find that file if it exists. Otherwise there isn't much else you can do apart from contact them but if there's no auto save function even they can't help you.

Thank you so much for replying. Unfortunately isn't looking hopefully :-( I am just worried I am going to spend two hoursediting the same footage and it crashes again. Debating using the basic movie maker agin booo! x

Just keep saving your work every few mins lol

check if the program has an auto-save feature, if it doesn't or has it still, something that professors have told us is to put a small alarm to save every 15-30 mins (ctrl + S on windows, command + S on mac) or every time yo remember save it :)

You should check to see if your video has an auto save feature, I don't know much about that particular program you're using, but try checking for a file like when you try to open a save file normally (unhide hidden files in your control panel to make sure you're not missing anything) If all else fails try a system restore and see if that recovers your file.

Yeah save as you go if you can, i have been in the same boat using movie studio platinum 12.
