Under review again?

I edited some information on a few of my videos, and monetization went back to under review. I read about people complaining about this... it's not permanent, is it??? Will I have to re-upload? I know nothing. lol. Ugh -_-

It's permanent for the time being - though they're aware of the problem. So theoretically it should be fixed eventually.

In the meantime, check out the video in JustSomeGermanDude's signature for info on how to get around it for future videos.

...[DOUBLEPOST=1371022089,1371021827][/DOUBLEPOST]But it's not permanent-permanent. My affected video went back to being monetized today, and so did several others'. But I'm not sure if this was because of YT working on the problem or because of a certain time passing. You should prepare yourself for several days though.[DOUBLEPOST=1371023675][/DOUBLEPOST]Also:
People who had the bug on a video have been reporting experiencing longer review times on videos they uploaded after it. My advised uploading procedure right now would be:
Have your defaults set to: Private + monetized. No description or tags. Upload your video and don't do anything until it's uploaded. Then close that window and check your video manager periodically to see when it gets approved. On my bugfix video this took like 1-2 hours. After the video has been approved edit your title, description, tags, as explained in my video (tag method in description). Then go public.

Thumbnail? I don't know. I would try early during upload.

I just wish this could've happened at the beginning of the quarter, you know? Fantastic ad revenue right now, and I'm just twiddling my thumbs. Ah well.

Review times are affected by a lot of things, including description, title and tags, even before / without the bug. And I THINK that your personal upload history also plays into this. So if a video of yours gets rejected, your average review time on uploads after this will go up. This is completely based on personal experience, without enough data to really back it up, so it's just a theory. (I do know that some channels always have to wait longer than others though.) But if this would be true, then having had a bugged video might be bad for your "upload/review rep" and the reason for the extended review times people have reported...

Yeah, in January one wouldn't even notice a difference with those two and a half cent CPMs...

But hey, I'm lucky either way, with my handful of views, I'm not really bothered.[DOUBLEPOST=1371024803,1371024571][/DOUBLEPOST]
I suppose that's possible. I have had a single rejected video (I won the appeal though).

I have had ones that were rejected for absolutely no visible (or hearable) reason and my review times have gone up from a few minutes to a few hours. So that's pretty much when I started theorizing over this.

Blargh. Well, I'm in the process of re-uploading multiple copies of two videos that otherwise would have been released hours ago. Both of 'em just sitting there...

Now if the network reps just focused on THIS when they pitch partnerships... :P

I suppose this is one of the biggest perks of partnering through a network. You have a zero hassle monetization experience. When I started new channels that was the first thing I did because it was nearly impossible to monetize on them without getting partnered xD
