Ubisoft AC4 Black Flag uploads

There is a possibility the embargo has been removed as I've uploaded part 1 of my walkthrough which took like 5hrs and so far it's been around 30-60mins and no claim has been made yet. I'm going to mail the marketing department back though just in case it pops back up. Hopefully bringing the case towards them removes the claims for everyone else but I'm not sure if peoeple will have to re-upload.

You uploaded ac4 on your channel and nothing happened? I tried to find the video but couldn't. Can you send me a link please?

Sorry the video is unlisted: youtube.com/watch?v=KeEpXyqaA3Q that's it up and running fine (meant to be released tomorrow to avoid spamming my subs lol) but I've spoken to the producer of marketing and she has informed me that they have; "...worked to unblock a nice big batch of Gameplay footage earlier today...". I actually received the reply only a few hours after sending them the video. So the videos from now onwards should be fine not just for me but anyone else who wishes to upload any ACIV content. I'd advise checking if you're still getting content ID claims to either wait or if you need to release content to your subs, you might be safer re-uploading to make it quicker. EDIT: God damn, is there a way to post the link without it becoming a video? lol Nevermind.

Man thankyou so much this has been a big help! I'll try when I get home. How did you go about contacting them? I came up with dead ends before.

I contacted them via the email in the their policy. It looks like the embargo has been lifted though, so you shouldn't have any issues or content ID claims from Ubisoft on ACIV in future. I think even though the music is by a 3rd party composer, it's still contracted under Ubisoft as well. At least when I looked at the soundtrack I got it said it's all copyright by Ubisoft, but I've turned the audio down to 30% on music just in case xD

If people are providing commentaries regardless of whether they're with a network or not then its illegal to take them down. Copyright law does actually allow commentary. Also since there was no actual embargo announced they have no legal right to take those videos down, they never told the mass user base or told any gaming news websites about it.

They didn't take any videos down they were blocking them. Also they have every right to block them whenever they choose to, since it's their work. People look at the word "Copyright" but fail to look at some keywords that take nearly all control away from you, they are "All rights reserved" meaning che copyright holder reserves, or holds for their own use, this means theoretically they could ask you to remove a video but would allow you to keep the commentary (obviously commentary being copyrighted by the creator; us). Also to clarify something for people, regardless of fair use laws, YouTube has it's own policies in place that require you to either A) own the copyrights to a video you're uploading or B) have permission from the copyright owner to the footage you're uploading. Technically we are on YouTubes services which they own, therefore we have to follow their policies. It's not a matter of law but policy, unfortunately.
