Tubebuddy Does it Really Help or Waste of Time?

TubeBuddy could be helpful for those that struggle with many of the basic promotional material. IMO, its best tool is their tag suggestions, but as you become better at tagging your videos, it becomes rather useless. Hardly does it ever suggest any tags that aren't simply things you can just think out of the top of your head. I used to advocate the use of TubeBuddy and its tagging suggestions, but now I find myself never using it for tags at all.

Nowadays, I only use TubeBuddy as a shortcut extension tab to get to my analytics and comments more quickly. I've never used the paid version and, although I'm sure there are some benefits it can offer, I'll probably never pay the premium for the added benefits.
I like your level of detail and it is nice to know that this product is aimed at beginners. Because we can all master a skill but for those of us starting off, software like this might be really beneficial. Thank you for your insight.[DOUBLEPOST=1479768481,1479768242][/DOUBLEPOST]
Honestly, I enjoy TubeBuddy, it is a huge help. I enjoy their tagging assistance as well as the ability to make a "to-do list' for each new upload, this way I don't forget anything that needs to be added or done before publishing. (You'd laugh at how often I forget the simplest things.)
To-do list??? Omg I use that fundamental concept everyday in life. I have multiple lists on my home screen on my phone. It's a great way to stay organized. Thank you so much for the info![DOUBLEPOST=1479768573][/DOUBLEPOST]
I use it and I really like it. I just use the free version at the moment but it does help me remember some things to add to my videos that I sometimes tend to forget.
Yup I tend to forget stuff and a program that reminds you to include the essentials is and sounds like a great idea[DOUBLEPOST=1479768628][/DOUBLEPOST]
It's good for optimizing tags. I've also been able to track down where my videos have been shared (Reddit, Facebook, etc.) You can also look at other people's analytics to see where the viral videos are being shared and other things like that.
Oh wow you can track where your video is being shared? That's great! Thank you for input.

I'm sure you would have got convinced by now seeing many replies above. These are my 2 cents why you should have it:
1. Vid2Vid promotion - I use for description. Its really worth. Check it out and you will like it.
2. Thumbnail generator. Yes, there are plenty in market, but case in point is seamless integration with your video. It's right there in front of you when you need to create one quickly.
3. Tag explorer. Take it as keyword explorer for your title (as well as tags). I like the competition/traffic indicator.
4. Checklist - Launch Pad feature, which shows the list of things to check yourself before you publish. Of course its a simple To-Do list, but handy.

However, the above are in free version which I'm using so far. Premium version might have better features which I don't know yet. They have discounts for small channels. Check their website.

Finally, whether its safe or not to handover permission to manage your videos to 3rd party, its another discussion. In my view, its better to try in earlier stage of youtube when you have less subs, then trying them at later stage. You won't be confident whether it will break something. But if channel is small, we can take these risks.

Thank you to all for your individual inputs on this topic. The information that each of you gave me really helped me into deciding downloading the app. All this positive response only speaks good things about the extension and...well. I downloaded it and HOLY COW there is an armada of great features on it. So once again thank you to all, this community is awesome and I am very glad to be a small part of it.

Cordially,

It's useful for a lot of things. One of my favorite things about it is it makes tagging easier. Don't like ur tags? Remove them all with a click. Want to copy your tags? Click. Pretty simplistic and I like it.

I've only had it about a month and I use the free version. I've not really delved into it properly but I do know that I love the fact it allows you to see tags on other videos. I use that to target specific keywords to help me rank better. I can see myself probably buying the pro version later on once I get used to the free version

Yo I didn't even know there was the Vid2Vid thing! I'll have to check that out. I do love the tag explorer though. That helps me with getting, at least from what I can tell, good tags for the video.

I enjoy it. Keeps me more organized and streamlines everything.

I think that might have to be more of me being unorganized usually, so it's been great in that aspect.

I feel as if YouTube buddy should be a requirement for doing YouTube. It has so many damn good tools that it does more harm to NOT have it then to actually have it.

I use the "card" template option for every video, I find the tags a little less useful but I also like the publish to Facebook option for many of my short news videos (just need the publish to twitch/twitter options to come along). End card push is another good new option I've been using.

Just saves me time
