Trouble coming up with logo and banner

I know what kind of gaming channel I want to be but I am just running into a wall trying to decide what my logo and banner should look like. As you can see I am using generic placeholders right now. If anyone has a little time I'd like to hear some ideas, based on my channel content which is mainly RPGs, NES games, some new PC games and old DOS games.
 
Hmm just checked out your channel! I mean If your doing a lot of game play type stuff! I'd show case maybe some of your favorites as a banner! Than maybe a logo you create? You have really awesome content btw!

Wow thank you! Yeah I need to find some pictures and SS's of my favorite games. I am kind of just at a block right now.
 
I think pixel art would suit your channel well. Or a mix of pixel art and popular games, or pixel art and typical games you play? I think that could look cool.
 
Considering you have the word demon in your name, I'm thinking a cartoony style of a Doom 4 Demon. And for your channel art, something black, with red design, and font :)

My name is MrDooney, so there is not much I can do, so I just made this stupid face lol
