So I went back and rewatched a couple of videos from a while back. While scrolling down the comment section i found that my comment was the toprated on one of the videos!

This has never happened to me, and im super happy ^^.

How often do you get toprated comment? What video was it on and what did it say?
 
The last time that happened to me was probably back in 2010 xD. It was on a 2pac music video!

well it aint easy to get a toprated comment, ive been commenting on youtube since 2006 i believe and i got my first a couple of weeks ago ^^
 
Wait, is this thread about number of likes for a comment or the placement of a comment on top? As for placement, I just thought your down comment is always on top or close to top if you are logged in as you. I left a comment on a Connor Franta video 17 hours ago, and it is the second one--under only his. But I am sure no one else sees it.
 
Here's the thing top comments show up different for everyone. I have multiple YouTube accounts and when I logged in different accounts or when I am not logged in at all. Top comment is based on Google plus following so if you actually use Google plus the top comments will be people in your circles. I think YouTube made a blog post about somewhere. But basiclly if you use Google + you are more likely to be top comment. There is a forum on yttalk where someone proves this also I just don't know the link.
 
I comment on almost all youtube videos I watch. This gives more traffic to your channel. But it also gives you an insane amount of hate.

Anyways on topic.

Think my most liked comment is close to about 1000 likes now.

If you want to check whether you have top comment on a video. Simply open a new browser where you are not logged into your YTube account. For example I use Opera for my youtube account and google chrome to check if I have a top comment.
 
I got 90-100 +1s on a comment i left on jim chapmans video, cant remember what it said or the video :P
i liked getting the notifications :D
 
The only time I remember getting a top rated comment is one a rando let`s play video. I think said something like cake is god on this game or something like that and it got like 30 thumbs up. So rando but that`s youtube for you.
