Too many YouTube gamers?

Being a YouTube gamer myself who is yet to make their first video (reason in my welcome thread) I personally believe there are too many gamers out there who want to do this for an audience.
Don't get me wrong we all are looking to entertain people however everyone can't entertain everyone.
To explain this imagine every gaming channel out there was subscribed to each other, it just wouldn't work, there is just way too many of us sure we may have millions of subscribers each but who is going to watch it? That is each of those subscribers watching one million videos each. Granted this is an extreme circumstance and is completely ridiculous but do you see the point I am making? The whole point to YouTube gaming now is to not try your hardest to grow your audience but just have fun and watch you audience grow on its own, you don't need to promote your videos just create them and put them out onto the magical place of YouTube.

But I digress, just keep in mind there isn't enough people out there for everyone to share not allot of YouTube gamers are going to make it and that is the hard painful truth however I do wish you all the best of luck on this crazy roller coaster ride that is YouTube.

I agree. I started my gaming channel back in 2011 when partnership for a gaming channel was still quite rare. My videos weren't that good back then so now I'm stuck where I am today.
 
You gotta get yourself out there though. Waiting for an audience to just appear doesn't really happen to just anyone.

^^^ This is 2000% accurate
As it gets easier to buy cameras and equipment to make videos its going to get harder because everyone else is trying to do the same thing. Its like photography. A basic dslr is <$600 depending on what you are looking for. And now people can take a picture (with everything set on auto, filters and all) and "Be a pro at photography." In all honesty the best most unique ones will stand out the most.
 
I don't think there is because if there wasn't so many then there wouldn't be so much variety and some games wouldn't get as popular as they do!
 
Yeah I agree with what Alrod360 said, There are a lot of people in different categories, YouTube is a HUGE growing community. Pranks, Gaming, Vlogging, Short Films, or anything else. There will always be "too much" people in it. I guess we just have to figure out a way to stand out from the hundreds and thousands of other people trying to do the same thing.
