To post or not to post.

Thanks for the advice everybody!! I ended up taking the plunge and posting it and I'm just gonna work extra hard on my next video :)

Myself, I wouldn't post it. I would try to redo it, but until the next day, so I can have time to breathe and gather my thoughts once again. If I'm not happy with my video, I'll just keep watching it and pointing out all the flaws and just no! It's get me in a bad mood haha.

I've had this feeling for the past few videos I've made. Sometimes I think my videos aren't high quality to share with the world, but then I get that feeling that I'm being to critical of my work so I post it anyways. I have to break out of that habit.

If it were me, I would post the video. Reason why is because I've found things that I do myself that I find being mediocre come off much better to other people. I think it's because many people tend to be overly critical of their own work, like me lol.

I would say try to edit it in a way that makes it shorter or adds a personal touch. You could always reshoot it, but I feel everyone is allowed a few bad uploads as long as that doesnt become a trend. Also, people might appreciate it more than you are giving yourself credit for. Some of the videos Ive liked the least, people have liked the best (different tastes). Good luck:)

I've uploaded a 'bad' episode of series (with all the appropriate warnings at the beginning of its technical failings) simply because I couldn't go back and re-do it in the sequence.

If I felt something was 'poor' in a one-off video then it doesn't make it to the public platform. ;)

I had a video that I thought was really poorly made, but a group of my gaming buddies were dying for me to make it. Biggest issue with the raw video was that it was all recorded on the fly, so no sound check for balance or anything. My mic sensitivity was so high but the game volume was incredibly low (I also had a few drinks so I was very very loud and obnoxious lmfao). I gave into their urges and edited what I could to make it somewhat enjoyable. I regretted uploading immediately. I received the worst reviews ever, lost subscribers, and the people who wanted it up didn't like it. I deleted it in the end (something I have never had to do), and the hard hit it took on my channel really kept me from moving forward until recently.

If you aren't sure of your video, maybe try uploading it under private settings and show some of your more loyal viewers for feedback before making it public. It may make them feel special that you appreciate their thoughts and make your viewers more engaged in your content. I wish I had thought of this idea before jumping to my horrible upload. I still debate on making an apology video XD

If I film a video and think that it wasn't up to par where it should be, I go back and refilm in. I bought a little board that now sits behind my camera with short words that tells me what topics I am covering in my future videos just to save time on editing and to make sure that I am going to be able to make future videos shorter than ones I've actually posted in the past.
