Tip Jars, 60 FPS, crediting & more! - VidCon Keynote Features Announcement

YouTube seemed to go a bit mad on the latest keynote at Vidcon and announced a massive amount of new features :

Tips (Fan Funding)
Creators will soon be able to add a card (a more prominent annotation) to their videos which will let fans donate from 1-500 dollars via Google Wallet.

60 FPS
Video playback will soon support 60 frames per second in resolutions of 720p+.

Audio Library
YouTube is expanding their music selection from 150 to 600 royalty-free tracks, they are also releasing 2000 sound effects with a total of 7500 to come!

Credits
YouTube will soon allow you to tag your videos with the people who helped you create them including their name, role and channel link.

Fan Translations
Soon fans will be able to translate other uploader's videos, the uploader can then accept them, moderate them, reject them or flag them for spam/ mis-use.

Cards & Crowd-Funding
They will also soon be adding "Cards" which are like annotations but are more prominent and fit in better with the video page, these also display on mobile, tablet and tv!
One of the cards available is for crowd-funding which is available for quick-linking to campaigns on Kickstarter, Indiegogo, Patreon & 15 more.
Another is for t-shirt sales, it was not said which platforms were to be supported.

They also cracked a couple of jokes on behalf of the Google+ integration which is always good, hopefully they decide to tone that down a bit in future :D

New Creator Studio App
(Pretty sure you can now get this)
This new app lets you manage your channel and view analytics right from your mobile phone, it also has a very quick and easy way to view and respond to comments.

It also has near live analytics data instead of 2-3 day-old data!!!

LOL. Already In my mind I see many people during the beginning, middle and end of their videos saying "DON"T FORGET TO DONATE TO ME TO KEEP THIS CHANNEL ROLLING!!!!" (or something to that affect) just how people tell others to click like, favorite and subscribe when those viewers haven't even finished watching the video's they are viewing. I don't have a problem with people donating to YouTubers or anyone (unless Its solicitation), I see It all the time. It's just that I've seen some YouTubers trying to round up money for things they know they can afford without Donations like Websites. I remember there was this one poor girl who made a YouTube video before she committed suicide and some female YouTuber was trying to get donations from her viewers so she could donate the money to the family of the poor girl who died. I'm pretty sure that is Illegal in some states. I know there was this official guide on donating over the Internet but I lost the bookmark. It was a good one, It outlined certain things like fraud and solicitation and how to track where your donation is going.
 
I quite like most of those announcements, yet am sure a lot of people will get quite annoying pushing their tip jars and "cards".[DOUBLEPOST=1403841249,1403840974][/DOUBLEPOST]Oh they're just beta testing the tip jar.

"NOTE: Right now we're only testing for channels and viewers in USA, Mexico, Japan and Australia but more countries soon!"

The tip jar sound like YT's way of competing with patreon. Which is a smart move I think. The 60fps video thing is amazing and a much needed improvement in my opinion.

I am not sure what Cards do from your description though, can someone elaborate. Is it like an advance annotation that is more customize?
 
This is going to be a great upgrade! Finally some good updates! I can't wait to see the 60 FPS function! The tip jar is a fun extra, not sure if I am going to use that because I don't wanna "beg" for money, but the people who really wanna support the channel can always donate. Maybe do something for charity, that's what I am planning to do for a long time on Twitch.
