Time Spent On Your Channel Per Week?

There's the hours spent finding the good news, then the few hours to perfect the script... Then there's an hour filming and doing voice overs. A few hours perfecting it in the video editor.

Then theres the sketches and vlog things which can be a few hours each, maybe more...

Setting everything up is a good ten minutes...

I put a lot of time in! haha

Thats a good question that isn't easy for me to answer! I work on it so frequently that is bleeds into everything else. I'd guesstimate between 25-30 hours depending on the week.

I spend hours simply replying to comments! I'd say a solid 48+ hours in a week, so about 7 hours on a daily bases ^_^

Too many to count. If I'm off from work I'm usually in the office. Everyday after work I spend hours in the office as well. Even though we are about to kickoff, there is a lot of work that goes into the channel. Usually when I'm away from the office, I'm thinking about the channel.

Recently Ive been spending a hell of a lot of time creating videos.
Bear in mind one video can take me 2-3 days to produce....

1. Receive item
2. Test item
3. Create video script
4. Film raw footage
5. Record audio
6. Edit
7. Create thumbnail
8. Upload
9. Add annotations

Depending upon the complexity of the item, it can take 2 days or so to just test and film raw footage.
Also bear in mind I work full time as well, so this is mainly evenings and Sundays (I always have Saturday off!).

Recently Ive been getting so much through from companies that Ive been struggling to keep up. Im at a point now where I have stopped taking requests for a while so I can clear my backlog.

A few weeks back I created 13 videos in one hit - took about 3 weeks - but done it in one huge batch. So did all the testing and filming, then did all the audio, then sat and completed all the editing etc.

Considering I tend to release a new video once every 5-7 days, this meant I could trickle release videos and take some time away.......how wrong I was!! Now I have another 16 videos to create - SIXTEEN!!

Ive managed to get the raw footage filmed for 7 so far, so still have 9 more to do!! Once all 16 are done I will sit and edit them all, which will take a week or two at the very least.

I still have 10 videos uploaded that are not public, so I do have some time - but companies seem to like a quick turnaround. I do get some pushing me to release the video publicly, but I simply inform them all releases are scheduled to provide maximum exposure for each video released.

I estimate once I get through the current 16, I should be around 20 videos ahead on YouTube, which gives me a good few months to relax for a while away from YouTube, since at the moment its every spare moment being spent on YouTube videos! However, if something 'special' comes along, like when the iPhone 6 comes along for example, I'll still need to create a video and get that released sooner then others while its still 'hyped' up!

It seems to be paying off though. My subs are going up at a faster rate then they ever have before - about 1100 a month now - and Im trying to reach my 20k goal by the end of this year. Its proving to be a lot of hard work though - perfect if it made me enough to quit my day job!!
