I make videos on the internet...I guess?
Soooo

I want to know how to make thumbnails that are actually good, I don't have a lot of money to pay for editing software so programmes that are free would be useful, and If you make thumbnails and would be willing to make them for me if I suck at making them please tell me :3
 
you could just do what I do and download paint.net. it's free and really good. you can overlay text (like I do in mine) and if you want to be really fancy you can make the background cool. that may take a while to figure out though but I recommend you get that program.
 
AGAIN, OPHOTOSHOP IS FREE ON ADOBE!!! problem solved? :p on my channel i want to show people how to make thumbnails... but no one asked so if you want, BE A FIRST
 
Someone already mentioned it, GIMP. It is a free software similar to Photoshop and contains all the features to make professional looking thumbnails. I would say the best alternative to photoshop, and I would definetly use it, if my school didn't provide me with photoshop :)

And to get better, then watch a bit of tutorials on our all favorite site: YouTube.com. I'm sure you can find out how to use it quickly ;-)
 
CS2 has most of the features from the most recent stuff, however it's a bit different in layout and hot-keys, it's still almost the same. You can get it for free granted you have an Adobe Account. If you have been using CC/CS6, then it won't be a problem to get used to. :)
 
People have mostly been saying gimp and photoshop cs2. I use gimp and i think it works pretty well i make my thumbnails with it ... It's also pretty easy to use in my opinion.
