Thumbnail not showing up?

Yes its been up for about 30 hours now. I have seen it change fro 480p and upgrade a day later to 720HD but the thumbnail has always show up. Plus out of the 1,000's of videos I have seen i have never seen that happen.

Well I put in a request to YouTube through the customer service but I know the wait will be forever... if ever.

Thats what YouTube has to improve is there customer service a temporary fix I found for the moment is to upload a custom thumbnail if you have that feature enabled and wait a while to process because the system is operating slowly!

Do you have custom thumbnails or do you just use what it gives you? Also good luck with the wait lol.

I use what it gives me from the 3 it randomly chooses. I can't figure out how I get it to let me use custom ones.

I read the stupid link it gave me ... meaning I clicked the question mark on the option but I still dont get what it wants me to do to enable it.

Anyone care to explain it in simple terms or have a link how to do it?

You have to enable monetization. After that you should be able to as long as you have verified your account

How intrusive are the ads? Do they display throughout the video?

Like I said this channel is not a profit channel.. it is promotion only and I dont want to turn people off with ads

Well you can pick the ads you want. there are the little banner ones that pop up. The ones that come on the side. Some other ones, but you wouldn't want them. I like that you want to be a non-profiting channel . Good luck though. Google can be hard to avoid in those situations lol.
