Hey guys,Im sorta new to the whole "youtube game" but i am new to this forum. So today i decided to upload my lets play of Tomb Raider, everything was going great as always until i uploaded the 3rd part and i got my first youtube copyright strike. :(I disputed my claim and when i was done my copyright strike turned into a "Matched third party" but i still have to wait out the claim. So i tried to edit it and put a custom thumbnail but it doesn't let me.I then checked my "Channel Settings" and everything was in good standings except my "Content ID claims"so i scroll down to features and status and my custom thumbnails are red dotted (Bad Standings) but it doesn't give me a description of why i lost the ability to use it.
So im wondering if any of you guys could tell me how i could get that ability back, or am I going to have to wait until the dispute gets processed? Also, just one more quick question when the whole strike thing is resolved does the strike go away or do you always have it?

I just looked at your thumbnails and the first thing that I instantly think of is the fact that you've not really created these thumbnails for Tomb Raider, You might have been hit by the strike because the image you used could be copyrighted. That's why you should always take a still frame from the video and turn that into a thumbnail.

You will have lost the privilege to use custom thumbnails as you're thumbnail is what caused you to get the strike. At least that's why I think you got the strike and now can't use custom thumbnails. I could be wrong.

Was There Any Songs While your playing them game. Only Enable sound if you know the music made was made by the game!. If not try to disable the Music. Most of this music is music with words in it.

hmmm.. i didn't think of that, but what comes to mind is if that were true how come it didn't happen to any of the previous videos with the same thumbnail? the copyright instated that it was an "Audiovisual Content" and gave me the time, but when i watch it I dont see whats copyrighted about the gameplay?

Maybe the game creator just doesn't want to posting there content without their permission? They have the right to do this if you could be making money off the video.

yes i believe there was music but it was background music of the game. The copyright strike stated that it was an "Audiovisual Content"

I'm pretty sure it depends on the company.
I have Tomb Raider video as well, and that one is the only one that has a warning label on it.
Also, the warning was when the cinematics started playing for it, so by the looks of it, it's because of the video and the audio of it.
