Thoughts on my background?

Hi guys,

Trying to film my 1st video today but finding it so hard arranging all the equipment in my room. I have a small box room so limited.

Thoughts on this?

I think your background is fine, you should keep the letters there, it ads some personality!

The background is fine but there is a bit to much head room.
Your eyes should roughly be on the 2/3 lines.

Edit: And if possible, get some more distance from the background. Will look nicer.

Finding a good frame and backgroupd for your first video sounds easy but is actually quite hard. Especially when your options are limited. I agree with Nad that there is a little too much head room. And I think I would try a shot that is a little more zoomed in, makes it a bit more personal.
If possible I would remove things that have no function in the background. Those two monitors and the niche they are in are a little distracting to me. I like the WD, I would keep those. Other than that I like uncluttered backgrounds. Because it doesn't distract and can be used for showing a PiP frame.

Yeah I like the WD as well. Monitors do look a little weird on that angle but I know what its like having limited room. I often get my monitor caught in the shot but I try use it by showing a still image related to my video - or lately I have made a looping "subscribe" clip to play on the monitor in the background to help persuade people as they watch.
