The Reason I Want To Quit My Job For Youtube

Someone before mentioned that in order to even scrape by in near-minimum wage levels, you will need to average 1 million views per month. Think you can get that? If so, then best of luck to you, but I'm telling you right now that your hopes are currently very much a pipe dream. It's always great to chase your passion and do what you love, but if it reaps no value in return, you won't see any monetary success in YouTube. I highly suggest that you try to average 50k views per day before even considering full-time.

Well they say, motivation iv everything,in your case ,you have a lot,two different communities for two different kind of people.. the creativity you have on youtube is almost the nemesis of the job you have in the government .. of course you prefer one thing instead of the other.. does t surprise me.. go for it man..life s too short , yolo , whatever lol

I would say you need to wait till you are getting a big amount of views a day before you can do it full time for a job.

I used to want to do YouTube full time years ago when I first started. I have since changed my mind. I always thought growth would keep going at the same rate, and at least for me it's not true. I've been monitoring other bigger youtubers and sometimes their growth has slowed down due to current trends. I wouldn't want to bank my income on trends and YT algorithms changing or even YT falling apart. You never know. So I still work full time and do YouTube on the side. Millions of views per month (or good video sponsorships) is what it takes to make a living out of it but its too unstable.

Why not change your profession to something you enjoy until your yt gets large enough to self sustain? Keep your passion alive if you believe you will get there in time.

By the way thanks for subscribing to me. I hope you don't be a stranger and continue support.

You have an 8-4 government job! Why give that up!? It's probably the easiest thing ever where you can work for life and then make 70-90% of your pay after you retire. I'd rather quit everything I do and take that up!

I made a post not long ago about am abandoned channel I found where the guy quit his job to do movie reviews and it was sad that he failed and he had to go find a new job and start all over again. Because that full time you tube job is truly one in a million

I know how you feel! Lol but you should definitely keep your job until you are sure that youtube can be paying your bills. So just continue to work and do youtube at the same time ! Good luck bud

everyone has a different 'number' they need to reach in order for this to be full time. Some people live at home and don't have rent or bills or obviously their number will be a lot lower than someone with a mortgage and large family. I find certain types of channels can achieve success faster than others such as beauty. You'll know when you can quit. Hope its sooner rather than later for you.

Hey there! I've been making videos for several months now and I would love to make YouTube a career as well! I've looked into it and seems amazinggggg! You get to live life by being creative and doing what you love!! The only problem is, it's really hard to get there :/ Over time you'll grow though! So whatever you do, don't give up! From YouTuber to YouTuber ;) I'm rooting for you! I'm gonna go check out your channel right now, lol :)
