I Love YTtalk
I am sure there are a few people that have also noticed this recently but the YouTube Partnership Program has been slowly turning down a dark road in the community. The sudden popularity of the "AwesomenessTV Network" has, in my opinion, played a major role in the downfall of this program.
AwesomenessTV offers Partnerships to anyone, with the requirements of 0 subs, and 0 views. They have an estimated 29,000+ Channels in there network, with big networks like Machinima only having around 7,000. This shows, that not only are they accepting super, super low requirements on channels. But they are accepting hundreds of these channels daily...
AND THEY AREN'T DOING ANYTHING WRONG!!! yet..
The YouTube CMS has no set requirement to add a channel, therefore channels with 0 subs/views can be easily added with no problems. It is all up to the CMS Holder. Companies like Iricom and xDigital are also offering these services to almost anyone with a good knowledge of the English Language and a YouTube 'Network' Channel. This is not only ruining the fun of "working for your partnership" and just handing them out like they're nothing.
Having a partnership has turned into something "Anyone can get" and has lost its originality and unique sense of pride and achievement. I think something HAS to be done about ATV and a serious re-negotiation with there requirements is in order..
Let me know what you think about this to?
