The BEST editing software?

Welll hello there youtubers !



Just stepping by to tell you which programs I think are the best for video editing....
Please make sure you give your honest opinion and say why that specific editing software is awesome .



Here's how I would categorize the programs:



1) Cyberlink PowerDirector series ( from 8 to the latest version ):
It's a great program that gives you everything you need in terms of advanced and professional video editing, PLUS it is the simples program you will ever use

2) Sony Vegas PRO

Really cool video editing software, not very hard to use, and huge customization oportunities



3) Adobe Premiere PRO

GREAT editing program, the problem is that it is pretty hard to learn....



SO..... thats pretty much it, How wouold u classify them ? (add/modify the order of these programs)

Which one do YOU use ?

Which one would you recommend ? Why ?

I use sony vegas pro 12, so I don't know about the other softwares, i've heard that final cut pro X is the counterpart for iOS.

Final Cut Pro X (the emphasis on the "X") is definitely NOT the OSX counterpart to Sony Vegas. FCPX is a dumbed down version of what used to be the most comprehensive video editing software available on the market (FCP7). Now I fully recommend Premiere if you are looking for some in depth editing software.

I used to use VideoPad - fine software, easy to learn However, it is clearly not meant for power users xD Now I am using HitFilm Express - wayyy better in my opinion, but also more advanced

I use Sony Vegas Pro 12.0 for my video editing and I have Adobe After Effects if I need to add in something :3

Sony Vegas Pro 12.0 on my Windows 7 and Adobe Premiere on my Mac. I find myself using Sony Vegas Pro the most.

Sony Vegas when on a PC, Adobe, Final Cut 7 (Occasionally X) when on my Mac.

I use Sony Vegas 12 Platinum Suite Edition and for someone who knew very little about editing and wanted an easy learning curve to help me get used to things.
I couldn't recommend this program enough!
