Rarely use jump cuts to be honest, always try to smoothen the video so it flows with smooth transitions etc. It takes certain situations andscenarios to successfully use jump cuts IMO

Oh you're a tech review. I guess the need for them wouldn't be as great but IRL youtuber's use them all the time :P At least I do...

Agreed - it all comes down to the type of content you create, and the scenario. In some content jump cuts are very effective and work really well. Not everything needs a smoth transition in between etc.

It depends on the what type of videos. I suppose that would work well for your channel, Taco. I, almost never do cut scenes. I'd rather fast forward it but, I'm gaming, so, ha.

Oh yourre one of THEM

As a gamer I hardly use it, only do though if I need to skip past some less interesting areas. Plus I more often use fade, a direct jump seems a bit strange sometimes. Thats just my content though, IRL videos it works well :)

In my opinion, jump cuts make videos more interesting a lot of the times. Bigger youtubers are doing that and it works well. It's just like a small fun element you can add :D[DOUBLEPOST=1370259540,1370259467][/DOUBLEPOST]And obviously it depends a lot on content. If it's a review, I don't think a jump cut would work well but if it's more of a comedy video, it's nice.
