Temporary files don't get automatically deleted?

It used to be just fine, then I must have installed something or changed a setting, because now they don't automatically delete. I have a bunch of files that are .sfk or .bak and just take up space. How do I get them to not show up?

I would say find out if they are important in anyway shape or form and then if you know someone who does coding or just Google it, write a powershell script (or whatever) to delete that type of file in the folder and you could run it when ever you would like by running that script manually or automatically.
