Can anyone recommend a laptop with a budget of £300-500 that can run an elgato.
System Requirements
  • Mac: OS X 10.7 or later, 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU
  • PC: Windows 7 or later, 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (or comparable), sound card
  • 4 GB RAM, built-in USB 2.0 port

I have an acer aspire v3 which has been pretty awesome for me. Runs elgato and steam gaming absolutely fine. I think it's in your budget. :)

What stores are able to buy from? Any PC will do tbh, those requirements are usually overstated but since the device is doing all the work like encoding you don't need a good PC, I was able to get by by recording on a Pentium 4 PC with 1GB RAM and 128mb Integrated Graphics.
