Now I know I probably should now what these do and how to use them but let's just say I don't how would one go about using them to their advantage

Well it's kind of hard to tell what you're asking here. But a tag is one of the biggest things when it comes to searching for vides. So with a tags you want to put in anything and everything that has to do with your video. That way if somebody searches "Michael Jordan Slam Dunk" And you have those words in your tags, there is more of a chance that it will appear in the search results. Also I like to add tags that are something like what I would type in the search bar if I was looking for a video like mine.
