Sync issue

I mean Lossless is fine and all, don't get me wrong, but if you're doing daily videos you're either going to need a whole bookcase of external drives or you're gonna be deleting footage as soon as it's edited.

2TB stripe array. I'm not certain of the exact conversion, but I'm fairly sure that I'm sitting around 1.5gb per minute. That's still 22 hours of recorded footage. I'm not worried. Anyone who needs more than that is uploading far too often.

Daily uploads, like I said, which is stock standard for LP channels and a bunch of the big names do 2-3 (Mark and GG for example). That 22 hours, keeping in mind we're talking raw footage here, translates to 40-50 videos of JUST the game footage. Ignoring both the camera footage (if you use that) and the finished videos, you're able to keep a backlog of roughly a month and a half. That's a drop in the bucket.

I don't claim that it isn't possible. How many channels need to keep 22 hours of raw lossless footage at any one time is up for debate though. I'd venture far enough under under 1% as to be negligible. The benefits of recording lossless far outweigh the chances of me running out of space, and even if I did, 2 more TB drives to extend the stripe only costs about $120.

THAT is a really good question, and one I asked on here actually haha.

I never know how much backlog of unedited stuff to keep. I have a LOT of it, and it's starting to get troublesome. That's another debate for another thread, though.

I'd definitely agree that recording lossless might remedy the solutions here. Action has a lot of excellent built-in codecs, but I know some can be finicky. I use the nVidia one (same Shadowplay does), but I've never tinkered with the rest.

I've done both, usually I use Action to do mic audio.

Just make sure to check "record microphone as separate track" because then in your video editor you can isolate it and edit it (add compression, up the volume, etc). I do it in Premiere but it'll work with anything.
I've tried the "record microphone as separate track" thing and for some reason it wont work :/ the oly way I can get it to work is if I make my computer listen to my microphone, which cause an echo in my ear a split second after i talk. Idk what I'm doing wrong
Are you making cuts in the audio because I had the same problem that you have now and it took me a little to realize that I had to re sync the audio every time I would make a cut in the footage.
No cuts, so that can't be it. Thanks though

Ugh, that. It happened to me for a while as well. Action is really finicky software and I don't know what's causing it. Unfortunately I can't offer anything because I literally had THAT exact problem and just one day it stopped happening. Not a CLUE what fixed it. :/

Dang, was really hoping I'd be able to get it fixed, oh well
