Symph

I'm a dude with a face and I know how to use it.
So here's the thing. You lead by example right? I don't think anyone is going to have a problem with this. We need to be promoting each other, and I've been trying to think of how to encourage us all to, and then I was like "derp, just start doing it" LOL So pretty much, whenever I find a vlog I think is awesome from a member of this forum, I shall share it here. :)

First awesome vlog? Zis one
After this 8 min vlog was over? I suddenly understood fandom like soooooo much better. I would NEVER feel such a vicarious connection to a video game character to even think in the way that this guy does, and he explained it so well with such a... fan/enthusiasm, it caused it to "click" with me. I do believe he could have kept it a little shorter, but it doesn't detract from the unique point he's making, in the unique way he's making it. On the forum this member is "tundrazer0"

I really have to agree with what you are saying and if we help each other that makes everything better:)

Cool video, as a gamer, I uh.... Loved this. :D
That's what was so cool. I've been TRYING to grasp how a gamer thinks, and just haven't been able to wrap my head around it. I see so much obsession for video games and I'm like "these are games we kill time with... I don't get it..." As I was watching this vlog, I began to SEE the appeal! I was like "To this kid... this is not a game he's killing time with... no, when he's playing this game he's LINK, this hero of time, he feels a connection to link, as if link were real, he thinks about the story line, as if this were a novel worthy of history, to the gamer, this is more than a game, it's an alternate world he experienced first hand, and the way THEY feel about a game like Zelda, is how I probably feel about say the music of David Bowie.

It also sometimes can be a way to get away from the real world, because a lot of the time, life sucks. :P I try not to forget its just a game though, and life, is still here. :D

here's another one of our amazingly talented members. His name's jemile and he makes original electronic dance music and dances to it in his videos, and he's INCREDIBLE at BOTH.
