Swearing

Well, I swear out and about, not with family, as its habit. I don't make myself do it, like I say, its habit. However, in the house, when recording I don't as my family are Christian and they don't like swearing and such. Plus, it can get boring if you swear in EVERY single video.

Though, when I start to do horror games.. that could be..well.. interesting.
 
f**k swearing. Sometimes I beep it out, other times I leave it in, depends on how I'm feeling, but what kids care about News anyway? :|
 
I guess if your whole video relies on swearing it's a bad thing. I mean if you don't have anything to say and the swearing is what's making you funny then I think it's a crutch. I also think it shouldn't take away from what you're doing. I'm not bothered by swearing but when I can tell the person has nothing else and is only swearing because they've got nothing else then I get annoyed.
 
Some very interesting opinions, I didn't think it everyone would be in the "no swearing" party! I try to be family friendly but I don't think a "sh*t" or "damn it" once in awhile is bad, haha. The problem is that I often make videos the way that I talk since they are vlogs so I'm bound to slip up.
 
Do people honestly still care about swearing? They're words.

If it gets censored, it's just more annoying. People still know what it was, and then you just get them saying it in their head anyway.

If people actually still sneer at cussing on videos, I don't think they belong on the Internet, lol. Just my opinion.
 
I cuss everyday at school with my friends. I do as well on my channel, but not at all when my mom is home because that's just disrespectful, imo. I think that cussing makes your videos funnier if you use them in the right way. When people are literally yelling "f**k f**k f**k f**k s**t fuckity s**t DAMN!" it gets so annoying, and I also would like to say, that what is a rant without some vulgar language?? Cussing is the persuasive tactic used by people with an inferior ability to smart. DAHpooyyht
 
I don't like cursing in my videos. I want anyone and everyone to be able to watch my videos without feeling uncomfortable. I still don't mind making really disturbing jokes though, but I keep things at a level where it's all in good fun.
 
I don't swear in real life so I wouldn't swear in my videos. I just don't see a point in it to be honest. I don't mind if other people do it, but I don't think it is good for younger viewers to see or hear. It comes across, at least to me, as unprofessional and inconsiderate when it's in videos. I think you can get your point across without the language, and you won't have to expose children to this sort of thing. I run a pokemon channel, and there are a lot of kids play pokemon so if a child came onto my channel and saw me swearing all the time, I would feel bad for exposing them to that. If you set an age restriction, it's a whole different story though.

I prefer people to do videos for both kids and adults and people would honestly like you more for that. if it is one or two words i may let that slip.
