Swearing in Videos Bad?

I don't use swears as comedy. I use my natural banter with the audience as the comedy. I play a character (not really a character but still) that is that friend you have that just doesn't care. He will flat out say it and not care who he p****d off. Some people love you and some may hate you. Even in my more controversial (at least I thought they would be) early episodes stuff I thought people would get super mad about THEY AGREED WITH ME! Like me saying Final Fantasy 7 shouldn't get a real remake! People agreed! Nobody got mad but idk. I was nice to the guy because I've known him personally for years now, and when he gets drunk he's like that. But finally I had enough and just hung up and turned my phone off.

That's what's so weird about the world these days. They are literally more concerned about if you said f**k, than if you said something TRULY offensive like "asians are stupid". As long as you didn't say that F word, they're less offended. It's seriously retarded. I'd keep doing what you're doing, and just not like... like don't think too hard about this, if you can lessen the swearing easily and effortlessly, do it, if it's gonna mess with your ability to make your content the way you like to make it, don't worry about it bro.[DOUBLEPOST=1401263691,1401263627][/DOUBLEPOST]

I'm currently doing 2 LPs which are sort of childish games but 1 of them is more targeted to kids than the other so I bleeped out any F or S words, stuff like "p**s off" or "p****d off" or the word "a**e" I left in. That was for Max, for The Last Tinker I'm still deciding on what I want to do but I might bleep the swearing out. I also try to refrain from it as much as I can but it's going to happen cause it's who I am, it's part of my personality so I'm not going to force myself not to swear although it does add humour sometimes when I'm about to say a bad word and struggle to replace it with something else lol, and they don't require too much editing so I'm find having to bleep the stuff out. Other games that are more mature though I go all out. Some people swear like a sailor, I swear like the entire crew on the ship.

bleeping is a very viable option. It lessens the offense and can even make the cursing seem funnier.

Even at times instead of screaming "Oh s**t" every time I died i would do this almost tripping over your words gibberish thing it's hard to explain you'd have to hear it. It's one of those like you start to say the word then you stumble over that word and it becomes jumbled nonsense a lot. Not to censor but as a comedic device.

Think like if you are talking to someone from church and you almost say f**k and you stumble over your words and mask it somehow.

I mean one of the quotes from the "beat it and eat it" was "That guy's got a bigger d**k then I got... but then again mine isn't half the length of my body!" it was a parody of the Atari p**n episode where it's full of splooge and dildos and s**t trying to kill you.

Yeah I figured bleeping it would still allow older people to sort of understand what I was saying, especially in particular 1 episode where I raged really hard so there's a few bleeps like 1 after another xD

So since my name is "Johnny Fox" (obviously) I call my viewers "Foxies and Roxies" which is basically like a satirical spin of Bronies (My Lil Pony fanatics) and Trekkies (Star Trek fanatics).

When I joined the brony forum I expected to find people like me who just liked cute stuff and weren't afraid to show it but also were you know... down to earth. At the same time none of what I say is personal to insult those people. It's just to "stir the pot" you know like how you have heroes and villians in movies and wrestling. The best commentators play both roles. I naturally can be your best friend in the world and the nicest guy ever. But at the same time person B may say "that dude's a d**k!". So I can play both sides of the field.

I don't hate certain fandom groups. Hell, i'm still into Nickelodeon cartoons sue me. I just do it for cheap heat at certain spots because you gotta stir the pot in both directions to get people interested. If i'm just talking about the gameplay and "how to" you aren't gonna watch that for 15-20 minutes unless it's a complex game you wanna learn. Honestly the MLP video was dedicated to an IRL female friend I have that i'm very close to that loved how I was so wierded out by the Bronie scene to the point she'd call me a Bronie just to irratate me. So I did it and even mentioned the chick because I knew she'd get a kick out of it.
