I only began posting videos in December to let my family see how I was woodturning a chess set for my son.

I am dumbfounded that I now have nearly 1,200 subscribers, who have posted such wonderful comments.

I am now doing this for real. Having so much fun doing it too!

How long does it take you to make a chess set? Have you started commercially selling chess sets?

My thanks to you all! The pieces take about 3 hours each - from square stock to last finish coat.

Haven't considered selling - sheesh - even at minimum wage the set would cost $1,000 - would anybody pay that?
