Suddenly static noise when I record?

Gods of Odds

Loving YTtalk
There is now suddenly static noise when I record but there was absolutely none before. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've tried using Audacity and obs studio, also I'm doing tests and I think it is worse when I record one certain game.

You can try noise gate to remove background noises, maybe something changed in your environment, neighbors, AC, anything like that... OBS and audacity have built in noise gate you can use

I've been using "Audio Restoration" in Sony Vegas with a preset I found online which seems to mellow out the majority of audio issues in my recordings (since I use a s****y headset mic until I can buy a goood one)

That might work also. Good luck

Just tried that and it didn't help, does anyone know any other ways? It has always been completely fine until now and I've got all the same equipment and software.

Hey!

I am sorry to say that it might be the recording software which can't allocate enough CPU to be able and record your voice good enough.
This happened slighly in my newest video and I had some really small crackling noises.

Bit you might be lucky and it's maybe just your mic that Was freaking out.

Regards
Tomba

It's definitely not the software, I have been using the same equipment and software for months and it has been completely fine.
