Subscription count silliness

The other day, someone subcribed to me but my sub count didn't go up. Then today it went down. It's like they're teasing me, lol. Maybe someone unsubbed right before the other guy subbed, and then someone else unsubbed, but it seems mighty suspicious. Why you mess wit me, youtube? RAWR!!

Yeah, I guess it's not a big deal but the thing that gets me is how my sub count usually doesn't go up when it says someone subscribed, but then it will go up sometimes without it telling me someone subscribed. I guess I can't really trust the number anyway, huh?
 
I have people subbing for a few days, and then unsubscribe. I´m suspecting they expected me to subscribe back to them.
I have noticed that the view count is up to date, but the analytics is a few days late, which is annoying to me!

Sometimes our sub count doesn't move for 2-3 days then it updates with 10-12 subs overnight. I have no idea how Youtube works it anymore. It used to be a live update.
 
to be honest, the person who unsubscribed might not have done it themselves, it could be youtube removing the inactive sub from your channel :) and its like the above said, it can sometimes take a few days to update itself too :D
 
I know at a time doing the follow/unfollow method on Instagram and Twitter was a way to get a massive following so not sure if that's going to have the same effect on YouTube
 
Ignore it mate - Just concentrate on content and SEO. Subs will come if both are good.
Forget the the unsubscribers. I get about 30 unsubscribe every day. Thanksfully I have more that subscribe every day..
